CLEAR BOOKING & PAYMENT INFORMATION

Cancellation & Refund Policy

Please read this policy before paying for a consultation. It explains how to request a cancellation or rescheduling, what to do if the practice changes an appointment, and how refund requests are handled.

Effective date: 13 October 2026  |  Last reviewed: 13 October 2026

This policy is prepared for Santhosh Swamiji / Om Sri Amma Jyothishalayam using the available business foundation information. The documented process states that appointments are required and the full consultation fee is expected at booking. However, a fixed customer cancellation window, standard refund eligibility rules, deductions and refund-processing deadline have not been confirmed. Those details are not invented here and must be expressly approved and disclosed before this policy is treated as final.

1. Purpose and scope

This Cancellation & Refund Policy explains the process for requesting cancellation, rescheduling or a refund for an appointment or consultation arranged with Santhosh Swamiji / Om Sri Amma Jyothishalayam. It should be read together with the Terms & Conditions and the service information communicated to you before payment.

This policy applies to appointments arranged through the contact channels currently offered by the practice, including phone and WhatsApp, and to any other booking channel that may be introduced. If a specific service has additional terms, those terms should be provided clearly before you commit to payment. Nothing in this policy is intended to restrict a right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded.

2. Appointment requests and payment

Consultations are appointment-based. The business foundation information states that the full consultation fee is payable at the time of booking and that an appointment should be confirmed after payment is verified. The available payment methods described in that information include UPI, Google Pay, PhonePe and bank transfer. Please confirm the applicable fee, selected service, consultation format, date and time, and payment instructions directly with the practice before paying.

An enquiry or a payment screenshot alone should not be treated as confirmation unless the practice confirms the booking. Keep your payment reference and booking messages. Do not send card PINs, passwords, one-time passcodes or other authentication secrets to anyone claiming to arrange your appointment.

3. Customer-requested cancellation

If you no longer wish to attend, contact the practice as soon as possible using the official contact channel and identify the appointment you want to cancel. Include the name used for booking, scheduled date and time, contact number and payment reference if applicable. Please request written acknowledgement so there is a clear record of your request.

A standard cancellation deadline, any cancellation charge, and whether a particular booking is refundable have not yet been confirmed in the available business information. For that reason, this page does not promise an automatic refund or state that a payment is automatically forfeited. The applicable terms must be communicated to you before payment and applied consistently, fairly and in accordance with applicable law.

4. Rescheduling an appointment

If you need a different appointment time, contact the practice as early as reasonably possible. A rescheduling request is subject to availability and is not complete until the practice confirms the revised date and time. Please do not assume that sending a message by itself changes the original appointment.

The number of permitted changes, minimum notice period and any fee associated with rescheduling have not been confirmed. These rules should be clearly disclosed before booking. If a rescheduled appointment cannot be arranged, contact the practice to discuss the available options and any refund rights that apply.

5. Cancellation or change by the practice

If the practice must cancel or materially change a confirmed appointment, it should inform you through a reasonable available contact channel as soon as practicable. You may be offered an alternative appointment time. If you do not accept the alternative, contact the practice to discuss an appropriate refund or other remedy, subject to the circumstances and applicable law.

If a consultation cannot proceed because of a technical, scheduling or other issue on the practice’s side, please report the issue promptly. The practice should review what occurred and communicate the proposed next step clearly. Any resolution should reflect the service actually provided, the payment made and any mandatory legal rights.

6. Refund eligibility and review

Refund requests are assessed against the confirmed booking details, payment record, whether the appointment was cancelled or rescheduled, whether any part of the service was delivered, and any terms clearly disclosed and accepted before payment. The practice should explain the decision and the basis for it in a clear manner.

The business foundation information does not establish a complete refund matrix, a no-show rule, a cancellation window, a deduction schedule or service-specific refund exceptions. None of those conditions should be assumed. Before accepting bookings under a final policy, the practice must approve these rules and communicate them before the customer pays. Any term must comply with applicable consumer-protection law and cannot override non-waivable rights.

7. Refund method and processing

Where a refund is approved, the practice should confirm the amount, the payment channel through which it will be returned and any information reasonably required to identify the original transaction. Where practicable and supported by the payment method, refunds should be directed to the original payment source to reduce the risk of misdirection or fraud.

A fixed refund-processing period has not been verified and is therefore not promised in this draft. The final policy should state a realistic processing timeframe after checking the actual payment process and provider requirements. Banks and payment providers may take additional time to reflect a completed refund. Never provide an OTP, UPI PIN, card PIN or password to receive a refund.

8. Missed, late or interrupted appointments

If you expect to be late or cannot attend, notify the practice as soon as possible. If you miss an appointment, contact the practice promptly to explain the situation and ask whether rescheduling is available. The result may depend on the circumstances, the notice given, availability and the terms communicated before booking.

No automatic rule for late arrival, non-attendance, missed calls, failed video connections or shortened consultations has been confirmed. The practice should disclose any applicable limits and remedies before payment rather than relying on an unpublished rule after the event.

9. Duplicate, failed or disputed payments

If you believe that you were charged more than once, that a payment was debited without a booking confirmation, or that a payment amount is incorrect, contact the practice with the transaction date, amount, payment method and transaction reference. Share only the information needed to identify the transaction and conceal unrelated account details.

Payment status may need to be checked with the relevant bank or payment provider. A pending or failed transaction may be subject to that provider’s own reversal timelines. If you believe a transaction is unauthorised, contact your bank or payment provider promptly using its official channels and follow its security guidance.

10. How to submit a cancellation or refund request

Send your request through the official contact page or the contact method used to arrange the appointment. You may also review the appointment booking page for booking-related information. Include:

  • Your name and the phone number used for the booking.
  • The appointment date, time and service, if known.
  • The reason for cancellation, rescheduling or refund request.
  • The payment date, amount and transaction reference, where applicable.
  • Your preferred contact method for the response.

Please do not include unnecessary personal or birth information in a payment complaint. The practice should acknowledge the request where reasonably practicable, review the available information and communicate the outcome or any additional information needed.

11. Fair and transparent handling

Customers should be treated respectfully and their requests reviewed individually on the facts available. The practice should not apply undisclosed fees or conditions retrospectively. Any important booking, cancellation, rescheduling or refund condition should be presented in understandable language before payment, and customers should have a reasonable opportunity to ask questions.

This policy does not guarantee that every request will result in a refund. Equally, it does not remove remedies that may be available under applicable law. Where a request is not approved, the response should explain the reason and identify any further review or complaint route available.

12. Relationship with other policies

This policy should be read alongside the Terms & Conditions, which describe general website and service terms. The Privacy Policy explains how personal information may be handled, including information supplied with a booking or refund request. For general service limitations, please read the Disclaimer.

If two published documents appear inconsistent, contact the practice for clarification. Applicable law prevails over any conflicting policy wording. The final published documents should be reviewed together so that cancellation, rescheduling, refund and payment conditions are consistent across the website and booking communications.

13. Policy updates

This policy may be updated when the booking process, payment methods, service arrangements or legal requirements change. The latest version should be published on this page with its effective or last-reviewed date. A change should not be used to retrospectively remove a customer’s rights in relation to an earlier booking where that would be unlawful.

For a particular appointment, retain the confirmation and the terms communicated at the time of payment. If a material change affects a future booking, the practice should communicate the updated conditions before the customer commits to that booking.

14. Contact and publication checks

For a cancellation, rescheduling or refund request, use the official Contact page or the channel through which you arranged your appointment. Provide enough information for the practice to locate the booking, but do not share payment passwords, PINs or one-time passcodes.

Before publication — business confirmation required:
  • Approve the cancellation notice period and rescheduling limits, if any.
  • Confirm refund eligibility by scenario, including practice cancellation, customer cancellation, missed appointments and partially delivered services.
  • Confirm whether any fees or deductions apply and ensure they are disclosed before payment.
  • Verify the actual refund channel and realistic processing timeframe.
  • Confirm the responsible contact for complaints and the process for escalation.
  • Have the final policy reviewed by a qualified Indian legal professional and align it with the Terms & Conditions and actual booking/payment workflow.

This draft deliberately does not invent an official legal entity, registration number, fixed cancellation deadline or guaranteed refund timeline.
